Are you coming along to Middleham Open Day and worried about getting around to all of the yards throughout the morning?

Ann Duffield and Phil Makin, based just 3 miles out of Middleham, are opening their gates at Sun Hill from 12:30 – 16:00 and busses will be running to and from Middleham throughout the afternoon.

Ann takes pride in the individual regime that she can give to each of the horses in her care and has achieved notable success throughout her career as a racehorse trainer. Ann’s husband George Duffield MBE spent 30 years as stable jockey to Sir Mark Prescott in Newmarket and is a key part of the set-up at Sun Hill.

Along with Ann, Phil Makin, also situated at Sun Hill, will be opening his gates for the first time, inviting visitors to view the facilities at Sun Hill as well as introducing them to his string of horses for the season.

There is limited parking available at Sun Hill however, several busses are running from Middleham so please use the shuttle service where possible.
